BIBB COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE
OUR OFFICE HAS SEVERAL DIFFERENT DIVISIONS WITHIN THE DEPARTMENT. EACH DIVISION IS LISTED BELOW WITH THE DEPARTMENT HEAD AND INFORMATION ABOUT THEM.
SHERIFF - JODY WADE
Sheriff Wade has been in law enforcement since May of 1993. He has served many roles, including Lieutenant, Captain of the Sheriff's Dive Team and Investigator, where he was responsible for solving the 2006 Bibb County church fires. He has been Sheriff of Bibb County since 2016.
CHIEF DEPUTY - KENNETH R. WEEMS
Chief Weems has been serving in law enforcement since 1990 and was promoted to supervisor position in 1996. He has been serving as Chief Deputy since 2003.
CAPTAIN- RUSTY PRICE
Captain Price has served in law enforcement since 1994. He has been over our civil division since 2005. Captain Price is a member of the Clandestine Team and Dive Team, and serves as the FOP Secretary Treasurer since 2011.
LIEUTENANT - NED UNDERWOOD
Lieutenant Underwood has been in law enforcement since 2005. He has worked as a supervisor since 2008. He currently monitors all registered sex offenders within Bibb County to make sure they are in compliance with all sex offender laws mandated by the state. Lieutenant Underwood also partners with Offender Watch, a national data base that helps officers and civilans keep track of information of sex offenders. SERGEANT - CHARLES BAUGH
Sgt. Baugh has worked in law enforcement since 1998, and promoted to supervisor in 2019. Baugh is over Narcotics and Dive Team.
Investigator Poole started his career in Law Enforcement as a Bibb County Jailer in 2010 until 2015 when
he became a Dispatcher for E911. In 2018, Poole graduated from Law Enforcement Academy working
for the Bibb County Sheriff's Office.
BRAD JOHNSON AND BODIE
Deputy Johnson has been in law enforcement since 2013 and appointed to K9 Handler in 2017. Completing K9 school in April 2017, Brad & Bodie became partners.
Deputy Bodie was born in May 2015 in Czechoslovakia and sent to Alabama K9 at the age of 2 where he began his training with Deputy Johnson to be a law enforcement working dog. Deputy Bodie is a tracking and detection dog and has had many successful cases not only in narcotics but also tracking suspects who have fled from law enforcement.
We have several deputies that work in the patrol divsion with our department. These units take a variety of calls throughout Bibb County. They patrol all areas of Bibb County. Bibb County has an area of 625 square miles. Of those 625, approximatley 575 square miles are the jurisdiction of the Bibb County Sheriff's Office. The remaining 50 square miles are the jursidiction of several different municipalities within Bibb County.
